Set in beautiful grounds in the village of Great Lumley we are a vibrant, friendly and caring school with high academic and pastoral standards. We have consistently been graded Outstanding by Ofsted; most recently in June 2013, where inspectors reported, “Children thrive in the happy, family atmosphere of this school. All make outstanding progress in their learning and personal development.”

The standard of teaching and learning is extremely high and the behaviour of pupils is exemplary. Our philosophy is very simple and is described in our school motto, “Fun to teach and fun to learn.” Through creative, innovative and engaging activities our children are inspired, enthused and motivated to learn and have lots and lots of fun along the way!
